Acting as Client's checking Engineer in respect of new 160,000 sqft distribution depot for Londis to run their North of England operation. Role included meeting with Architect, Client and Project Manager to agree scope of works in order to provide Employers Requirement document and specification for design and build project. Preliminary advice on construction techniques to facilitate cost planning. Attending mid tender interviews to vet potential schemes suggested by the various contractors. To appraise tender returns for compliance with Employers Requirement documents. To attend site on a monthly basis to check works as they progressed to ensure compliance with permanent works design and Employers Requirement documents and specification. To view and comment on all permanent works engineers and sub contractor's proposals and design.
